Healthy Smiles with Lincoln Preventive Dentistry

Dentist with young patientAt Pioneer Greens Dentistry, preventive care is an essential part of our mission. Besides helping patients creates stronger or more vibrant smiles, we also want to help them prevent problems in the first place. The most common oral health problems are tooth decay and gum disease. Others include teeth grinding, TMJ dysfunction, and even oral cancer. Our Lincoln office is dedicated to helping you prevent these problems and the complications that may arise from them.

Your First Visit

At Pioneer Greens, we like to have fun while we're providing exceptional care. Both Dr. Chris and Dr. Claire help put their patients at ease with their warm and relaxed personalities and look forward to meeting you and getting to know your smile!

Your first visit to Pioneer Greens will be unlike any experience you’ve ever had at a dentist’s office. Dr. Chris and Dr. Claire will personally welcome you to the office and make you feel comfortable from start to finish, and then will complete a thorough oral health exam to help you diagnose any existing issues requiring additional care. Our front office team will begin processing your new patient paperwork immediately to make the process as efficient as possible. After meeting the doctors, you’ll also have the chance to meet our talented team of hygienists. Besides cleaning your teeth, your hygienist will talk to you about any changes in your oral health and offer tips for improving your homecare routine.

Oral Cancer Screening

At Pioneer Greens, Dr. Claire and Dr. Chris make sure to thoroughly check for signs of oral cancer each visit that you have. A quarter of more diagnoses of oral cancer are made with none of the most common risk factors. An early diagnoses is your best hope for making a full recovery. Even if you don’t smoke or drink alcohol to excess, regular screenings are critical to optimal oral health.

Dental Cleanings and Exams

In addition to regular brushing and flossing, we recommend visiting our Lincoln office twice a year for routine cleanings and exams. Click here to learn more.

Children’s Dentistry

Are you looking for a practice that serves children? Our team is proud to offer preventive cleanings, exams, and dental sealants to Lincoln’s youngest patients.

If you're struggling with nighttime teeth grinding, wearing a custom-made oral appliance while you sleep will help you control your condition and minimize symptoms.

Athletic Mouthguards

As part of our ongoing commitment to the community, Pioneer Greens has offered free mouthguards to area high schools for years. We believe that a dentist should assist your smile both in and out of the office. If you or someone else in your family plays sports, an athletic mouthguard is an essential piece of equipment. According to some estimates, 40 percent of sports injuries involve the face, while 13 to 39 percent of all dental injuries can be linked to athletic activity. A generic mouthguard purchased from a sporting goods store may provide some level of protection, but not as much as a custom-made mouthguard.

Sedation Dentistry

Are you anxious about your upcoming appointment? With sedation dentistry, we can help you enjoy a more comfortable and relaxing appointment.

Soft Tissue Laser

Using our soft tissue laser, we can help patients treat periodontal disease non-invasively, without a scalpel or stitches. As a result patients can look forward to a faster recovery.

Digital X-Rays

To provide our patients with superior care, our Lincoln dental office has invested in digital radiography. This advanced tool makes the X-ray process safer for patients and produces clearer images.

Periodontal Disease Treatment

Periodontal disease, also known as gum disease, is a pervasive oral health problem that can dramatically affect your overall wellbeing if it isn’t treated. That’s why our Lincoln office is dedicated to offering personalized periodontal therapy.
