Restoring Lincoln Smiles with Dental Crowns & Bridges

Dental Crowns

A dental crown is a restoration that restores the strength and appearance of a tooth affected by decay or an injury. Crowns can be made from a variety of materials, even gold. But the most natural looking crown is made from porcelain. Dental porcelain reflects light in a way similar to natural enamel and is durable enough to give your tooth renewed strength and stability.

Traditionally, treatment with a crown would require at least two visits to complete. In the first visit, your dentist would prepare your tooth and place a temporary crown over it for protection. Then, during your second visit, your temporary would be removed so your permanent crown could be attached.

Treatment no longer requires two visits, though. With our revolutionary CEREC milling unit, Dr. Chris Haag and Dr. Claire Haag can create a beautiful, custom-made restoration from quality porcelain over the course of one visit.

Dental Bridges

Do you have a gap in your smile because of a missing tooth? A dental bridge, also known as a fixed bridge, will help you close that gap. Not only that, but a bridge will also improve your smile's functionality and appearance, in addition to preserving your its alignment

Bridges are composed of a replacement tooth along with, in most cases, two abutment crowns. These abutment crowns are placed over the teeth on each side of the gap you're filling, and they're designed provide your finished restoration with stability. As with a traditional crown procedure, the process typically took at least two visits to complete. But with our CEREC milling unit, treatment can be completed in much less time.

What Is CEREC?

CEREC is a revolutionary tool that lets us design, mill, and place custom-made restorations for patients over the course of a single appointment. Treatment begins with us taking a 3D image of your tooth. That image, and the detailed design we create from it, will provide our CEREC machine with all the information it needs to mill a strong, beautiful restoration. Once your restoration is ready, we’ll attach it, enabling you to leave with a stronger, healthier smile.
